Rooted in Growing, Guided by Story

Before Romenta Plants became a floral studio, it was a garden.

I began growing flowers in a small Washington, DC backyard, transforming a modest space into a thriving cut-flower garden. With a background in television production, documenting and storytelling were second nature — and the flowers I grew naturally became my creative subject.

As the garden evolved, so did my work. Gathering what I grew and arranging it became a way to honor the process — from seed to bloom. What began as photography and personal exploration slowly and organically grew into floristry.

I spent over a decade working in television production, managing shoots, crews, logistics, and creative direction across the U.S. and internationally. That experience shaped how I approach my floral work today — with intention, organization, and a strong respect for process.

Today, Romenta Plants is rooted in garden-inspired design, seasonality, and sustainability. I design with a grower’s eye — understanding how flowers move, how color shifts throughout the year, and how beauty exists even in quieter seasons.

I work closely with local farms and gardens throughout Maryland and the DC area, sourcing seasonal blooms whenever possible. All designs are foam-free, using sustainable mechanics and reusable structures to minimize waste while creating florals that feel natural, immersive, and alive.

Whether designing wedding florals, creating hands-on workshops, or bringing floral experiences into hospitality spaces, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels connected — to place, to people, and to the natural world.

Every arrangement is a reflection of the garden it came from — and the story it’s meant to tell.
